Partnerships
Northern Music Review considers collaborations that suit its subject and give readers a clear account of who is involved. Commercial arrangements do not determine independent editorial conclusions.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly defined projects such as a commissioned listening explainer, a conversation about musical craft, an event-related editorial feature or a partner link placement. A proposal should state its purpose, intended audience, proposed contribution and any commercial or material relationship.
Partner placements
Relevant partner placements may appear across the site where they fit the publication's music focus. Placement is not an endorsement, review or promise of editorial coverage. We do not accept arrangements that require a favourable verdict or disguise a commercial relationship.
Clear labels
Partner-funded, supplied or arranged material is labelled to distinguish it from independent editorial work. We identify the relationship in plain language near the material, and retain the right to decline a proposal or make its terms clear to readers.
Make a proposal
Send a concise outline through the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include the proposed format, subject, parties involved and any requested placement. A proposal is not a commitment to publish.
